Many people fear that the global economy is crumbling. Many economists are arguing for an economic disaster, due to unsustainable consumer debt, inflated oil prices, and the high public cost of banks saved by public policies. As we use oil-powered trucks and cargo planes to transport food and other goods, diminishing oil reserves could mean disaster. Normal living post-economic disaster could mean living in a state ofanarchy, with rampant food shortages and violent acts as the realities for everyday life. This article will teach you about collapse survival items you will want for survival in an economically depressed or lawless land.
Peak oil, has a particularly large risk of causing a collapse survival scenario. Several theorists, including Michael C. Ruppert, have been following the supplies of oil and our insatiable thirst for fossil-fuel made manufactured goods. Just about every study of oil reserves projects its disappearance. Oil production has peaked - there's just not enough left in the earth to support our dependence and our expanding, oil-thirsty infrastructure. Watch for oil prices to rise, as this could indicate the beginnings of the economic collapse Preparedness is the cornerstone of survival.
Create a survival checklist first. It's the key to staying alive during a disaster of any kind. You will want a survival checklist in order to help you get all you need in advance. Preparing a collapse survival kit is like assembling a kit for any other emergency, like an earthquake. You may not have access to government-provided services, so you will want to get silver coins to buy what you need. Having something to eat and drink is also important, so be sure to keep on hand drinkable water, water purification tools, and an abundant supply of rations. It's not a bad idea to have firearms readily available; but focus on keeping plenty of bullets on hand, as ammo is likely to disappear fast if manufacturing ends. Also, consider this - if there's no gas, automobiles won't be drivable. So a bicycle and assorted repair tools are a great items for your survival list. {The same is true with organic farming tools, survival seeds, and a stockpile of building materials.
It's important to regularly buy new supplies for your personal survival kit, particularly those that might rot. If economic collapse were to happen, you don't want to run the risk of rotten survival food and water supplies. If you have the money, it's a good idea to install a well on your property, as well as an underground shelter. It's not crazy to prepare for risky scenarios. Hedge fund managers constantly assess risk as part of their investing strategy. Why not buffer yourself against the risk of economic collapse by purchasing the stuff on your survival list?
Buying gear is not the only way to be proactive about surviving collapse. You can also learn DIY crafting and, most importantly, farming skills. In fact, you can start right away and enhance the soil in your backyard. Furthermore, you can sell and eat your food, which means more money that you can convert into small denomination silver coins or use to buy supplies and gear. And it's easy to get started. To eat your own backyard vegetables you just need water, sunshine, and a little hard work. In addition, the food isn't drenched in pesticides or genetically altered. It's just tasty, home-grown food.
You can't survive everything. For example, a gamma ray burst could flatten the earth in an instance. But you can survive collapse, if you take action now by writing a survival checklist and taking action every day. Don't forget that survival is tied to risk assessment. If the global economy crashes, why not protect your most prized asset, your life?
